Job Description
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitoring and controlling Lab expenses wherever possible and ensure they are in line with the budgeted expenses.2. Reviews supplies inventory to maintain optimal stock without excessive inventory.
3. Set up cost control modules for all tests
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensure whether all Laboratory personnel follow the established customer interaction protocols or not.Responsible To interact with customers and obtain feedback through a feedback system to minimize customer/patient complaints.
Ensure that patients / customers receive the laboratory tests in due time.
PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible to Maintains policies & procedures of the department and conduct quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.Transcript materials and maintaining all pathology and clinical laboratory files.
Maintaining the departmental equipments and supplies in an orderly manner.
Arrange all written document and maintains files as required.
Ensure whether the Quality assurance controls for all lab tests are done or not.
Reviews all laboratory procedure area wise and update and consults the head pathologist when required.
Ensures that the standards & process of NABL is in place as per the deadline
Maintain All the statutory obligations regarding departmental licensing and blood storage requirements are in place.
Responsible for review of KRA and timely setting as per the PMS guidelines
PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITY
Response to all Laboratory staff who report to the position.Conduct job orientation to Laboratory staff and keeps them inform of the philosophies, policies, and procedures to be followed and caring for patients as like as their families.
Conduct in-service training and /or continuing education for the Laboratory staff and
Evaluates the work performance of the staff time to time
Preparation, Sanctions and recommendation of leave and vacation schedules for the staff.
Conduct Counseling with staff on personal and work problems.
Planning for staff work assignments and schedules.
